Community Policy

PopIt Snack and/or its subsidiaries and affiliates in the PT. Mandiri Tunggal Sejahtera Berkarya directly or indirectly leads the team that creates Community Policies on PopIt Snack site content and provides support to the community. Our team is working to create the PopIt Snack site as a medium with an open and safe environment for everyone around the world. We’d like to share some insights on how to serve a community of over a billion people around the world.

When we share information and opinions with friends, family, communities, and the world around us, that’s when we receive extraordinary things – new ideas, opportunities, friendships, and collaborations. Every day, people around the world share billions of posts online that add value to our lives. But sometimes people share content that can annoy or hurt other community members.

That’s why we created Community Standards – to define the types of posts that are inappropriate for sharing on the PopIt Snack site. Our Community Standards aim to strike a balance between giving people a place to express themselves and supporting a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

As you can imagine, maintaining balance is a tough job that we do focusing on a few key principles:

  • Keeping you safe. We do not tolerate behavior that harms others, even if that person is organizing or supporting real-world violence or disturbing others. Requiring people to use their real identities in all selections of PopIt Snack sites will help motivate all of us to act responsibly, as our name and reputation are literally connected to our words and actions.
  • Encourage respectful behavior. We ask everyone to consider their audience when sharing something that might offend others. We make it easy for everyone to decide who can see the content they share and we have policies against sexually explicit, hateful, and violent content.
  • Recognizing cultural diversity. To ensure that our policies reflect the diversity of our communities, we continually seek and review input from experts from around the world, as well as from our communities. These insights help us understand the context in which people share and view content within the Dunia Yarn Merah website.
  • Provides you with the tools to control what you see on the PopIt Snack site. PopIt Snack is a place to connect with the people and things that matter to you through commentary discussions for you, so we give you the tools to control what you see, report things to us, and contact people who post things you don’t like or don’t like. agree.

Our goal is to create an environment where we don’t need too many rules, and people on the PopIt Snack site feel motivated and empowered to treat one another with empathy and respect.

Community Policies to Help Keep You Safe

Overview: We remove content, disable linked accounts, and may report it to law enforcement when we see a risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety. Learn more about how the PopIt Snack site handles disruptive content.

Direct Threats: How we help people who feel threatened by others through the PopIt Snack site.

We review threatening language reports very carefully to identify serious threats that could compromise public and private security. We removed serious threats of attempting to harm someone. We also removed specific threats related to theft, vandalism or financial harm.

We may consider things like a person’s physical location or public visibility in assessing whether or not a threat is serious. We are very concerned about the credibility of threats to people living in areas where violence and instability are common.

Self-injury: How we work to help prevent self-injury and suicide.

We do not allow support for attempts at self-harm or suicide. We work with organizations around the world to help people who are under stress. We prohibit content that promotes or encourages suicide or other types of self-injury, including self-mutilation and eating disorders. We don’t think of bodily changes as self-injury. We also remove content that identifies victims or survivors of self-injury or suicide and attempts to target them for assault, whether serious or humorous. However, anyone can share information about self-harm and suicide that does not encourage these actions.

Dangerous Organizations: What types of organizations do we ban on the PopIt Snack site.

We do not allow organizations involved in the following activities to be present on the PopIt Snack® site:

  • Terrorist activity, or
  • Organized criminal activity.

We also remove content that expresses support for groups that engage in the violent or criminal behavior listed above. We do not allow endorsement or praise of the leadership of such organizations, or condone their violent activities. We welcome broad discussion and social commentary on this common subject, but expect everyone to show sensitivity to victims of violence and discrimination.

Harassment and Harassment: How we respond to harassment and harassment.

We do not tolerate harassment or harassment. We allow you to speak freely about issues and people of public interest, but we will remove content that intentionally targets private individuals with the intent of demeaning or humiliating them. This content includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Pages that personally identify and embarrass individuals,
  2. Images that are altered to demean private individuals,
  3. Photographs or videos of physical harm sent to embarrass the victim,
  4. Sharing personal information to blackmail or harass people, and
  5. Repeatedly targeting others with unsolicited friend requests or messages.

We define a private individual as one who never gets news coverage, nor does he get public attention because of his public actions or profession.

Attacks on Community Leaders: What protections do public figures receive on the PopIt Snack site.

We allow open and critical discussion about people who appear in the news or have a large public audience based on certain professions or activities related to the article material we publish. We remove serious threats to public figures, as well as hate speech directed at them – just as we do to private individuals.

Criminal Activity: How we deal with reports of criminal activity on the PopIt Snack site.

We prohibit the use of the PopIt Snack® site to facilitate or organize criminal activity that causes physical harm to a person, business or animal, or financial loss to a person or business. We cooperate with law enforcement officials when we believe there is a risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety.

We also forbid you to celebrate the crimes you have committed. However, we allow anyone to argue or defend the legality of criminal activity, as well as convey it in a humorous or satirical manner.

Sexual Violence and Exploitation: How we fight sexual violence and exploitation on the PopIt Snack site.

We remove content that threatens or promotes sexual violence or exploitation. This includes the sexual exploitation of minors, and sexual assault. To protect victims and survivors, we also remove photos or videos that depict incidents of sexual assault and images that are shared in retaliation or without the permission of the person in the image.

Our definition of sexual exploitation includes sexually solicited material, sexual content involving minors, threats to share intimate images, and offering sexual services. If necessary, we will report this content to the authorities. Offering sexual services includes prostitution, accompanying services, sexual massages, and filmed sexual activities.

Items with Special Regulations

We strictly prohibit attempts by private individuals to buy, sell, or trade prescription drugs, marijuana, firearms or ammunition. If you submit an offer to sell or buy alcohol, cigarettes or adult products, we require that you follow all applicable laws and consider the audience for that content very carefully. We do not allow you to use payment tools on the PopIt Snack® site through its partnerships to sell or buy goods with special regulations on our platform.

Community Policy to Encourage respectful behavior

Overview : People use the PopIt Snack site to share experiences and raise issues that matter to them. This means you’re likely to come across opinions that differ from yours, which we believe can lead to important conversations on not-so-easy topics. To help balance the needs, security and interests of these diverse communities, we may remove certain content that is sensitive or limit the audience that sees it. Learn more about how we do this here.

Nudity / Pornography

People sometimes share nudity content for reasons like awareness campaigns or artistic projects. We limit the display of nudity because some viewers in our global community may be sensitive to this type of content – particularly because of their cultural background or age. In order to treat fairly and respond to reports quickly, it is important that we have policies that our global team can apply uniformly and easily when reviewing content. Because of this, our policies are sometimes more direct than we would like and restrict content being shared for legitimate purposes. We are always working to better evaluate this content and apply our standards.

We removed photos of people showing their genitals or focusing on fully exposed buttocks. We also restrict some images of breastfeeding women to include nipples, but we allow photos of women actively engaged in breastfeeding or showing post-mascectomy scarred breasts. We also allow photographs, sculptures, and other art featuring nude figures. Restrictions on the appearance of nudity and sexual activity also apply to digitally generated content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse are prohibited. Descriptions of sexual acts that display explicit details may also be removed.

Hate Speech

The PopIt Snack Editorial Team will remove hate speech, which includes content that directly attacks someone based on:

  • Race,
  • Ethnic group,
  • national origins,
  • religious belief,
  • sexual orientation,
  • Gender, gender, or gender identity, or
  • Serious disability or illness.

Organizations and people who specifically promote hate against these protected groups are not allowed on the PopIt Snack site. As with all of our standards, we rely on our community to report this content to us.

People can use the PopIt Snack site to challenge ideas, institutions and practices. Such discussions can encourage greater debate and understanding. Sometimes people share content that contains other people’s hate speech for the purpose of raising awareness or educating others about such hate speech. If this is the case, we expect people to be clear about their purpose, which will help us better understand why they are sharing the content.

We allow humor, satire, or social commentary relating to these topics, and we believe that when people use real identities, they will be more responsible when they share these types of comments. Arguments in the form of accurate information and alternative viewpoints can help create a safer and more respectful environment.

Violent Content and Excessive Content

Cyberspace has become a place to share experiences and raise awareness about important issues. Sometimes, these experiences and issues involve excessive content of public interest or concern, such as human rights violations or acts of terrorism. Usually, people share this kind of content to vilify it or raise awareness about the issue. We remove exaggerated images when they share them for sadistic gratification or to celebrate or glorify violence.

When someone shares something on the PopIt Snack® site, we expect them to share it responsibly, including carefully choosing who sees the content. We also ask that people warn their viewers of what they will see if this includes excessive content.
